Brake Problem
Hey there
I have a big problem that seems to be over my head.
I have put in a new/donor brakepipe set in my car, I have Discs in front, and Drums in back. GMC227 Master.
With no fluid in the system, i start. Put my DOT 5.1 fluid in the Plastic box, and start pumping.
But nothing seems to be happening. The paddle never seems to stiffen up, and i never get any pressure anywhere. Just a little air comes out in the bleed screws
on the discs but a little dripping of fluid. And just nothing in the back. Even in the long front to back line, i seem to be getting only air.
No leaks anywhere. Inside and out. At least of fluid, don´t know about "air leaks" if that sort of thing is known.
I suspect the Master Cylinder, but i have tried two of them now, and one was working 6 months ago. Although he wasn´t working well.
I have looked into the top nut thing on the Master, and they don´t seem to push alot of fluid in the upper chamber, but thats proparly because there ain´t any pressure on the system as well.
Can it be that, the Master isn´t in anyshape to push the air out?
This has stopped me now for 3 days in the garage. And nothing seems to work.
If anyone has any idea i would greatly appreciate it. In return for a solution i will even stop Icelandic Whaling if you are that sort of a person that gets bothered by it, convince Eggert Magnússon to sell West Ham and get the hell out of England.
And even solve that glopal warming dilemma, through the cunning use of umbrellas.
You can bear in mind that, im very amaturish, and i might have made some very silly mistake in all this pipe stuff.
Thanks Páll
