Fitting interior headlining
Having done this myself, you could do it without the windows in but it will be a much tidier job if you take them out,
Firstly get windows out and putt in your new lining making sure the spars go in the right places ( they are different colours) if you forget ring pl mins etc as they will know.
It will make the job a lot easier if you get some very small quick grips and also get an old door seal and chop itinto 3 inch section (more later), you also need contact adhesive and patience!
Start by stretching the front to back and grip with quick grips, do the same left to right. You should be able to see how it lays out now and where it will need pulling etc.
The best way to do it is to start from the front middle, working your way back, the hard parts are the 3 pillars. I did these buy trial fitting the lining and cutting it in a nice line, i then folded it back so there wouldnt be an edge showing. It personal preference how you do that bit really.
The cut up door seal is used for holding the lining in place once it has been glued so that the lining goes right into the corners of the seams., when you refit the windows the rear c panel covers (being new) are hard to get under the seal, im afraid only patence solves this!!
When i did it i had a sunroof to go round and it took me about a day, but it looked very neat afterwards.
Be patinet with it!!
