Engine Steadies
While the Ultimate will prevent a lot of problems, its not the only solution. Replacing a thermostat can be a bit more difficult. First thing to check is that your engine mounts are in good condition - if old/original to the car, might be a good idea to replace them. 21A1902 OR 21A1902ST (same as the other, but with captive nuts) - these are the ones for non-automatic gearboxes. Make sure youre using the small gearbox bracket that the manifold came with, or better yet, install the GEX7337 (pre-rod change) OR the GEX7526 (74 onwards Rod Change)gearbox bracket for downpipe clip. These brackets install using 2 of the gearbox studs, and in my opinion, give better localizing for the manifold clip. Then, install MSSK (R/H) and MSSK001 (L/H) lower stabilizers; these extend from the under the gearbox back to the subframe legs. http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=38370 http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=34151 Best of all, all of these solutions are available from our host! Check out the shop - theres an ENGINE_STABILIZ link in the L/H column.
