2 thou shims to go against the mainshaft double roller bearing securing cap in your gearbox to give it pre load. See workshop manual for advice but you are aiming for only 1 thou pre load--these were sold by Unipart as 3 thou but the Rover drawing we have show it to be 2 thou, so we have corrected accordingly.
