STEERING RACK LHD NEW UNIT (GSR158)

Brand new rack for Mk2 on Left Hand drive cars less track rod end joints,with no neccessity for old rack in exchange.On most of these racks one of the small bolts that holds the pinion cover on sticks out. do not be tempted to tighten it up as it will adjust the preload on the rack - the more you tighten it, the stiffer the rack will get! (and vice-versa) Always replace the dust shield sponge 21A30 between the body and rack where the spindle that locates the inner column sits. Also ensure anti friction/static packing pieces 21A2553 are fitted. This Rack is NOT suitable for Sportspack MPI cars. These are pre greased ready to fit.
