FUEL PUMP MECHANICAL TYPE FOR 1990 ON 1275cc HIF44 CARB

The 1990-1 models of the Mini with 1275cc engines and HIF44 carbs use this different mechanical fuel pump. Driven off the camshaft at the rear of the motor these pumps are generally reliable but when a diaphragm goes bad it can be very serious as often raw gas is pumped into the engine. This dilutes the oil and causes severe wear. When fitting, make sure the pump lever is on the cam lobe and not to the side. For 998cc cars use AZX1818 or for 1275cc cars with HIF38 carb use WND10005 with a 5/16"inlet. Does not come with gasket.
