VALVE TOP CAP - SMALL SINGLE GROOVE

Standard top cap for small single groove collet type valves, AEA653 stronger type can be used as an alternative. Can be used for earlier 88G616 but it will sit about 20 thou higher in fitted spring height but works fine for standard uses. Both 2A11 and 88G459 collets depending on valve type used, both fit this top cap and have been fitted on our std reconditioned heads. Earlier 2A880 and AEA402 top caps that were fitted with the valve guide shrouds were superseded by 88G616 and shroud deleted by Leyland. Top of valve spring to top of valve: original large collet cap 2A880 is 296 thou and with shroud 2A545,valve and collets are 329thou. small collet cap 88G617/AEA653, later valve CAM6505 and small type collets 88G459 are 256thou. original large collet cap, later valve CAM6505 and small type collets 88G459 are 276thou.
