On all cars with a steering lock there are safety shear bolts on the column which will need replacing if removed. This is the 5/16"unf 2.0125"thread and stud length 2.70"(68mm)- overall length long bolt that holds the steering column bracket to the column.

Recommended usage 1 x 51K4006 to fit one mini.
