Genuine AP product as original.This strange looking coily spring holds the front brake shoes against the drum for better braking efficiency by holding them in a set position which also cuts out brake judder caused by sideways movement. Fitted to front only when there are 2 cylinders per wheel. If you have to pump your brakes check that these springs are attached to the wheel cylinders and brake shoes properly.
