MASTER CYLINDER MOUNTING PLATE (SINGLE LINE)

A great deal of the torquing action of the engine is taken up by the stamped metal bracket that bolts to the firewall. A symptom of this is a sharp clunking sound from that area when you accelerate or decellerate. The ugly fix is to weld a large washer over the crack; the proper fix is to replace this bracket. The lower bracket for the stabiliser arm which is welded to the body is available now as 14A6730, later cars with dual master cylinder use ALA6505.
