Lack of proper maintenance (grease) will make the pivot shaft and/or bearings wear that much faster. In severe cases the shaft may rust to the bearings so that the ends pivot in the subframe, as on my Mini; I, of course, blame previous owners! This rebuild kit includes ALL the parts, some you can't even get separately; new shaft, shims, lockplate, needle bearings and rubber seals for one side (two kits per car).
